Women Milers to Light Up Stadium

Morton Games Release

The Women’s Mile has the look of a really top class race at Morton Stadium on Friday of next week. As per previous posting Heather Kampf (USA), the Queen of the Road Mile, pb 4.27.26, is confirmed.  Also competing from the USA  making her return visit to Morton Games is Cory McGee who has a mile best of 4.30.98 and Stephanie Schappert (USA).  Schappert’s PB over 1500 stands at 4.09.41.  She is a sister of Nicole Schappert who won the first women’s international mile at the 2012 Morton Games.

From New Zealand Nikki Hamblin who competed for her country in the 2015 world championships is also a confirmed starter.  Indeed Hamblin will be eyeing up victory with a 1500 PB of 4.04.82 standing to her credit. Lindsey Butterworth (CAN) and Monika Halasa (POL) add to the international nature of the race.
